Department of Immunology and Allergy was founded in 1979. Over time, with the efforts of caring managers, it continued to grow

steadily, and now trains a large number of students in Basic and Clinical Programs and at undergraduate as well as undergraduate

levels (BSc, MSc and PhD in immunology, and Fellowships in immunology and allergy), many of whom graduating each year and 

being recruited by different Iranian educational centers. In addition to reference laboratories, the Department now is powered with

immunobiochemical, cellular and molecular, and immunogenetic research laboratories and has a close and continuous

collaboration with most of the clinical departments in conducting research projects. Having the capacity to train students in Clinical

Immunology and Allergy programs, it was approved by the Office of Deputy Minister for Education of Ministry of Health to establish

a Clinical Immunology and Allergy Ward at Ghaem educational, research and treatment hospital in 2008 (which is now under

construction). In 1402, with the opinion of the vice-chancellor for education of the mashhad university of medical sciences,

the immunology and clinical allergy Ghaem Hospital (AJ) was separated from the medical immunology department.
